Reflecting on this year’s theme of empowerment and equality, Charli Martin, Chief Operating Officer at SecureCloud+, embodies the essence of these values. With over 15 years of experience in the armed forces in roles such as Military Intelligence Officer and Weapons Engineer Officer, Charli has witnessed first-hand the value women bring to improving global security and advancing technologies. This commitment is exemplified by its initiatives like the Girls’ Festival of Rugby (GFOR), an innovative event designed to inspire young women through the merging of sports and STEM. Most recently hosted in collaboration with RAF Halton, the festival brought together over 1,200 girls from 60 teams, focusing not just on athletic spirit but also intellectual curiosity.

In addition to its involvement with GFOR, SecureCloud+ is committed to expanding its STEM initiatives through 2025 to drive greater engagement and participation. As part of this effort, the company will partner with a STEM-focused charity and aims to register at least 50% of its workforce as ambassadors. This initiative will allow SecureCloud+ to support key events and make a greater impact within the STEM community.
